Platter’s *** Prepared strictly according to the dictates of the Method Cap Classique, and is composed of two noble grape varieties, Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%).

The design of the bottle is made entirely by hand by New York designer Ceci Johnson, using the watercolour technique, digitised using specific scanners and then applied to the bottle. Made from a blend of Glera grapes and Sicilian Nerello Mascalese, which gives this wine intense and pleasant fruity undergrowth aromas.

An intense fruity nose that is slightly aromatic, with nuances ranging from apple to apricot and mixed fruit salad. A persistent and rounded palate, slightly vivaceous, with a pleasant sweetish finish.

Platter’s **** Double Gold|Michelangelo Wine Awards|2021 The wine has a crimson colour with a dark core. Lifted fruit aromas of Blackberry, Crème de Cassis and violets fills the glass. On the palate the wine has a beautiful purity of fruit. Fresh dark and red berries with a touch of milk chocolate and oak toast.

Platter’s ***½ Deep, dark red in colour with elegant notes of plum and black cherry followed by subtle nuances of caraway and black pepper. On the palate it is fresh, full and juicy with solid mid-palate and an expansive, round finish.

Platter’s **** This is a typical Merlot that is packed with flavors of ripe plums and red berry fruits on both the bouquet and the palate. The ripe tannin profile ensures wonderful structure without being heavy on the palate and the fresh natural acidity ensures a vibrant and lingering finish. Can be enjoyed on its own but will also pair well with meat dishes such as steak or with casseroles.

Platter’s ***½ An extroverted wine with its strong personality rooted firmly in the terroir of the hills of Durbanville. There is strong mint on the nose – a mint indisputably from full-ripeness so concentrated that it turns back and forth to create berry flavours in the mouth, with prune flavours and violet incense.

Platter’s ****½ Seductive interplay of a melange of dark fruits and spice on the nose. The seduction continues in the mouth: cassis, blueberry, violet, touches of cedar, cocoa and tobacco leaf. The palate is soft and spicy with a velvety texture and powdery fine tannins.
